For those of us who call St. Anna Parish our spiritual home, we gather with the blessings of our Metropolitan to celebrate Divine Services and to actualize an impactful, localized ministry that is ultimately well-pleasing to the Lord. This isn’t limited to the clergy since all of us, regardless of age, are meant to go forth preaching, and when we must, use words! Simply, each of us is meant to be a beacon of light and a testament to the joy, hope, and healing that are found in Christ.
A most meaningful way of serving Christ within the Parish is serving on the Parish Council. Fifteen stewards are elected by our greater parish to offer their prayers, their time, their talent… to our Lord and to the building up of our Eucharistic Body. It’s not about managing a budget, but rather sharing in the ministry of our Parish, that is, discerning how to better serve our faithful and also those beyond our Orthodox Christian community.
On Tuesday, Dec 7 at 6:30 PM and also to Wednesday, Dec 8 at the close of Liturgy (approximately 730PM) we will gather for our Parish Council Seminars, during which we will discuss aspects of ministry within the parish. I cordially invite you to learn more about our ministries and to prayerfully consider running for our Parish Council. We’ve been blessed with some truly God-loving, gracious and blessed souls who have and continue to serve; my hope is that other like-minded individuals will also consider this opportunity to God’s glory.
